The Compensatory Education Services course provides information of the provision of compensatory education as a corrective action for a denial of the Free and Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) requirement of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). The course examines the legal basis for determining an award of compensatory education, considerations in the determination, the development of a compensatory services plan, documentation requirements, and the completion of services.
